Professional learning goals

From what has been described so far in this guide, it’s clear that a NEET must set professional learning objectives, which, of course, can vary depending on individual needs and interests. In our opinion, to overcome the difficult situation they find themselves in, a NEET should create a PLE that allows him/her to:

1. Commit to developing entrepreneurial skills, learning how to create a business plan, developing skills to manage marketing and sales campaigns, and working to understand how to run a business from a management and financial perspective;

2. Participate in courses to improve their technical skills, learning to use tools and software specific to the industry they would like to work in, learn how to manage projects, and understand how to promote themselves online;

3. Commit to developing communication and networking skills, so they can communicate effectively with clients and partners and manage relationships and communities online (including social media) and offline;

4. Learn how to create a business plan and how to create an effective pitch;

5. Learn to manage your time effectively, including managing stress and maintaining a work-life balance;

6. Develop your leadership skills by improving your motivation and learning how to solve problems (using critical thinking), as well as how to manage a team and delegate tasks within a team.
