Weak CVs
1. Weak CVs
First of all, we need to clarify what the acronym NEET means: it is a word that derives from the English “Not in Education, Employment or Training”, meaning it indicates young people who are not studying, not working and not following any training path: these people, more than others, have a CV that could be defined as weak.

A resume with little education and work experience may appear weak, so NEETs should structure their resume by describing the potential soft skills they believe they have acquired, rather than the highly specific technical skills that lon
workers (i.e., those who, unlike NEETs, have been actively working for a long time) have acquired in a single field.
As previously mentioned, transferable skills, which are applicable to multiple positions rather than to a specific role, can derive from self-taught training, short and varied work experience, and even indirect experience.
Thus, paradoxically, listing aspects of one’s personality, the qualities we have developed as people in everyday life, can become a real strength on a resume.

Since NEETs generally lack an active social life and therefore have difficulty expressing their strengths in relationships, they can structure their resume by also listing their weaknesses.
Describing personal weaknesses can impress those evaluating their CV because it is an act of great honesty and, paradoxically, can turn into a winning strategy.
Meanwhile, those who reveal their limitations have a deep understanding of themselves and appear very trustworthy.
If the young NEET doesn’t have specific skills, it’s a good idea to focus on the first section of their CV, the personal profile.
As mentioned, also list a couple of weaknesses in the skills section after the strengths, which should be identified as potential areas for improvement.
A CV that highlights one’s strengths, as well as some weaknesses, is certainly a balanced and realistic CV that offers a complete portrait of the profile of a young person seeking work for the first time.
