About Project

The Challenge Across Europe, youth unemployment is a critical issue, with millions of young people facing barriers to education and the labor market, a situation exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The FALLYNEETS (Fostering Awareness of Lifelong Learning in Young NEETs) project was created to address these gaps and take immediate action to prevent the risk of a “lost generation”.

Our Mission Our primary goal is to empower young people aged 16 to 30 who are not in employment, education, or training (NEETs). We aim to inspire them to embrace lifelong learning as a core component of their lives, allowing them to enhance their personal and professional circumstances.

What We Do FALLYNEETS provides tailored support and guidance to help young people re-enter education or the workforce. Our core objectives include:

  • Raising Awareness: Increasing understanding among NEETs of the importance of lifelong learning for their personal and professional growth.
  • Skills Development: Helping youth develop essential soft skills (such as communication and problem-solving) and technical skills that are highly relevant to today’s labor market.
  • Innovative Digital Tools: Creating a customizable Personal Learning Environment (PLE) that empowers users to take control of their learning by gathering information, organizing resources, and collaborating through personal learning networks.
  • Inclusivity & Support: Ensuring that learning opportunities are accessible to all NEETs, regardless of socio-economic backgrounds, disabilities, language barriers, or other obstacles.

Who is it for? While the project primarily focuses on NEETs, it also serves a secondary target group of professionals, including guidance counsellors, youth workers, trainers, and local administration staff. FALLYNEETS provides them with updated social and digital tools, enhancing their ability to assist young people in accessing lifelong learning opportunities.
